Calvin College Pedestrian Overpass - City of Grand Rapids. This newly constructed hallmark feature of Calvin College will grace the pages of the college's publications for many years to come. The new landmark provides safe passage for students, faculty and guests over busy East Beltline Avenue while connecting housing and learning facilities on the east side of the road with the main campus on the west.

Moore & Bruggink, Inc. provided assistance to the college in cost benefit evaluations for comparing an overpass to a tunnel crossing. After an overpass was selected, we assisted in locating the structures and in negotiating crossing permits and approvals with the Michigan Department of Transportation. This is a project that will win the college many awards.
