Pine Street/West Spring Lake Road, City of Ferrysburg -- Moore & Bruggink, Inc. provided design and construction engineering for this street improvement project, which was funded by MDOT and City funds. The project included an analysis of the storm runoff and the design of a new storm sewer system with two points of discharge into Spring Lake. MDEQ permits were required for the storm sewer system and wetlands crossing. The street design was coordinated with the Grand Haven Board of Light & Power as they were required to relocate 2000 feet of power poles and overhead wiring in back of the proposed route for the new bikepath. The project also included a walk lighting system, and a segmental block retaining wall. The segmental block retaining wall was designed to minimize impacts of grading on a large property along Spring Lake.
