Ada Township wished to restore and preserve the original Village of Ada to the charm and value it enjoyed in the past, and to enhance its residential and light commercial properties. Moore & Bruggink performed a study which included detailed cost estimates, public hearings, and development of a budget and financial feasibility analysis to achieve those goals. Specific areas addressed included land uses, zoning, traffic, the Village street and sidewalk system, and a major parking study.

The first project constructed as a result of the study was reconstruction of the main village street with new drainage, curb and gutters, parking, and beautification with brick walkways and decorative lighting.
